Dr. Jennifer Read
ND, LAc

Born in Cambodia — where plant medicine and traditional healing aren't alternative, they're everyday life — Dr. Read brings a perspective most practitioners simply don't have.

She earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Master of Science in Acupuncture from Bastyr University, with additional training in pediatrics, women's health, and fertility. Before that, she worked at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, one of the top cancer centers in the country.

That combination — conventional medicine rigor, naturopathic philosophy, and East Asian healing tradition — means she doesn't pick one lens to look through. She uses all three.

She's also a mom of three who knows firsthand that family health isn't theoretical. It's 2 AM fevers, picky eaters, and trying to keep everyone well during flu season.

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Read for almost a year now (and I have seen her as well) and we have been SO happy with her services! She always makes us feel comfortable, and really takes her time to listen and respond to my various concerns. I have been seeing naturopaths for some time now, but I recently went to a Family Medicine doctor simply because he was close to home and had good reviews, however my initial appointment lasted 10 MINUTES with the doctor practically kicking me out the door. Sadly, I think this is just the philosophy of Western medicine. Dr. Read, on the other hand, constructs hour long appointments that really dive into the core issues. We drive from Edmonds just to see her, and will continue to do so! I highly recommend her for pediatric/naturopathic services. Thank you Dr. Read!
